Little sister is not going to Thailand after all. She was picked for the JET programme. June 28 she leaves for training in Houston and then off to Tokyo. Not sure where she will stationed but it seems like a super exciting adventure. Once she receives her contract we will attempt to set a wedding date for immediate family and close friends to attend. I really don't want all the crazy family drama.
Watched a super quirky fun movie last night called "Fido". It's not about a dog but those who have a bit of a dark quirky sense of humor should find it delightful.
Graduation party for little sis coming up. Family drama already started. Told him after the party to let me know if he wouldn't mind them all being at the wedding.

Denver post at last
I finally uploaded photos from my trip to Denver to visit A. Had a ton 'o fun. I hadn't seen A in like 5 years and it was great catching up and see her get ready to be a mom. Her family was also there to take part in the excitement and festivities. I've got all the photos on Snapfish so send me a line if you want to see more.
This week we head down to SA to see my little sis graduate college. So exciting!!! Going to have me some taco taco and a prickly pear cactus margarita. 6 hrs in the car with the rents should be interesting. Yay ipod!

"All I want is you, will you be my bride. Take me by the hand and stand by my side"
5 years ago I had no idea. It was never intended, it was talked about now and then, but who knew. Sometimes their thought processes change and take us by complete surprise. Although it wasn't entirely a surprise it was and is wonderful.
No date set yet, but it will probably be at least a year or so from now. More pictures will be posted. He wants to take some in the sunlight to show off how sparkly it is.
It was hard keeping it a secret for a week and a half. (we had to have it resized).

sad feet
We attempted to watch "Happy Feet" the other night. I say attempted because we kept fast forwarding through all the stupid singing. We did start to count the dialects and stereotyping though. Dialects detected were: Russian, Scottish, Spanish, New Jersey Italian (it was like the Soprano's in bird form) and a little Robin Williams thrown in.
Needless to say we didn't finish the movie and I am not suffering by not knowing the ending. There were a few funny little quips and quotes.
Heading to Denver on Thursday and super excited about it. Visiting dear A who is expecting her first child. Almost finished with second part of gift but having some issues with my left hand aching. May see an old childhood friend I haven't seen in geez 15 years. Much exciting things coming up.

don't know what anyone sees in anyone else
I have a secret. Want to guess what it is? Not sure when I can tell it or if I should. It's kinda fun.
He has yet to start his job search. He's my next careers project. I just need to take my books and such home.
My new favorite soundtrack and movie is Juno. It was fun to watch in the $ theatre sitting next to older people who don't really seem to understand the lingo and don't think it's all that funny and probably think you're completely crazy for laughing so much.
M is going to Thailand this summer to teach. I'm excited for her. She's very adventurous. I can't believe my little sis is graduating college and so grown up. In my head she is still 4 and running around the house looking out the windows to see if she can spot the pink elephant we told her about.

Un
employed
sure
Two weeks until it is official and he gets severance. This week he is allowed to mourn and figure out insurance. Next week, the search is on.
Work has gotten busy, allergies have gotten worse.
Recent movie recommendations: Freida, Into the Wild (just as good the second time)
Knitting: working on baby gift (can't say unless she is reading this blog)
House: so much to do, not so much motivation. Got some basil, cilantro, and catnip. Trying the basil and cilantro in pots to start. We killed the grass in the process of killing all the tall fescue weed. Everyone's lawns are turning green... except ours.
Unemployment means maybe a cleaner house.
Missing: my morning hot chocolate fix,
Loving: him, cool nights, zip up sweater hoodie, soft kitty,

death and being left behind at the mall
Seems like Spring is in the air. The grass is slowly turning green (what we didn't manage to kill). Redbud trees are starting to bloom. The ducks are back in the neighborhood. My mood is improving with the warmer temperatures. I finished a couple of knitting projects. I started a new project that I am pretty into and it's moving along pretty quickly. He made dinner for me last night. It's not extravagant, mostly leftovers and random bits of things but the gesture is always appreciated. It's wonderful having someone who wants to take care of you, and doesn't think because you are the woman, you should do all the cooking and cleaning and running the household.
I got him a DSLR for his birthday. We are awaiting our super cool memory card and he is teaching me all the ins and outs about F-stops and shutter speed. He's a great teacher. He taught me how to drive a stick shift, too bad it was after he sold the Viper.
Last night I was left behind at the mall and had to hang out by a mailbox etc. type store and thought I was alone, but a FedEx guy came by and totally scared me, I jumped. Apparently, being left behind means I'm feeling rejected or like I don't fit in, which I have been feeling a bit lately.
I feel like I'm almost always the one to initiate plans or make contact with friends. It's always been the case, but I wish more often, I was the one being contacted and invited.
